Sound Endeavors is a unique studio in that students may focus upon their areas of interest and enjoy the benefits of a program designed particularly for them. Lessons are offered to students ranging from beginning to advanced levels of study. Guitar instruction can involve support for the singer/songwriter or the serious soloist or classical guitarist. Also, a limited number of apprenticeships are available for very serious students at reasonable monthly rates.
 
Sound Endeavors offers specialized music instruction with composer and classical guitarist, Dr. Richard Jordan Smoot, in the following areas:

Classical Guitar Instruction
Classical Guitar instruction (and classical guitar technique applied to various styles)
*One particular area of interest is the use of guitar as an accompaniment for singers.

 

Composition & Songwriting

Basic to Advanced study in all aspects of music composition and an emphasis upon songwriting if desired.

Music Theory & Ear Training
Basic to Advanced study.

Music Technology
Basic to Advanced study.

Apprenticeship Program

Various programs are tailored to individual students needs and all lessons are offered as private one-on-one instruction. The apprentice program is administered on a limited basis. POLICY STATEMENT & RATES

Students at Sound Endeavors  pay a tuition-style flat monthly rate that never changes.  Payment is made at the last session of each month to reserve space for the next month. If payment is not received by that time it is assumed that the student is discontinuing study and that the time slot is available. Lessons are scheduled to occur at the same time weekly and students forfeit their times if they cancel or are absent. No refunds will be made and lessons are not credited.  Please note that Sound Endeavors  has a no make-up lesson policy.  We are closed on the following holidays:  Xmas, New Years, and July 4th. Memorial Day and  Labor Day are optional. Additionally, Sound Endeavors  is closed for a two week vacation period each year. Rates are subject to change at any time.
